Como La Flor
("Like A Flower") became one of Selena's signature songs. Not only did the song appeared on Billboard Hot Latin Tracks and Regional Mexican Songs chart simultaneously, it helped Selena to be accepted in Mexico. The song was the second track of of Entre A Mi Mundo (1992).

Chart performance[edit]Edit

The single entered Billboard'Hot Latin Tracks and peaked at No.6,[1] while the song peaked at No 1 on Billboard'Latin Regional Mexican Airplay in 1992.[2] The song became Selena's third song to be charted. The song was also the third song to be charted off of the Entre a Mi Mundo album, subtending the songs "Buenos Amigos", and "Amame".

Darlington Version[edit]Edit

In 2004, Darlington (band) recorded a rock and roll version of Como La Flor. This version was released by California indie label Disaster Records on Darlington's album Euthanize me. In 2007, Darlington released a live version of Como La Flor on the self-released, limited-to-1000 hand-numbered CD copies album Live Dallas 2007. Both albums are out of print. Singer Christy Darlington changed the arrangement to an uptempo rock arrangement with loud guitars and sung the lyrics in spanish. He has stated in interviews he is a fan of Selena.[4]
